Many of these songs on the album were written for other well established artists. And as always, some songs make it the whole way to the albums and some, although not being bad songs, are left behind . So I wanted to record them myself and in a maybe more jazzy vibe than they were first meant to be in and focusing on the vocals instead of being a guitarist who sings. (well, being a guitar-slinger some guitaring might have slipped through the net).
The album ”Still here” was recorded some years ago, but due to some unfortunate events it took until 2023 before it was released. Shortly after the recording sessions I had a bad accident and was hospitalist for a long time and it took me more than a year to heal my wounds and to get back on my feet (literally). -Lucky to be alive, the doctors said. I had a long struggle to get back to walking normally and I’m wearing the scars. Then the pandemic struck and nothing much was happening. But now it's here and I'm ”Still here”.
